Data Protection Policy
In these policies, “ADLS” means The Association of Dunkirk Little Ships.
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Notice and UK data protection law.
This includes membership administration, website operations, event administration, archival records, and shop/payment administration where applicable.
Cookie Policy
Essential cookies are used to run core site functions such as session handling and security. Non-essential cookies should only be used with consent.
Cookie preferences are retained to respect your consent choice across pages and subsequent visits.
Content and Copyright Policy
Site content, including text, imagery and logos, is owned by ADLS or used with permission unless otherwise stated. Reuse requires prior written permission.
Some content may be user-generated or sourced from historic archives and third parties; ADLS will review and respond to copyright/ownership concerns raised in good faith.
Third-Party Systems and Providers
ADLS uses third-party software and service providers to operate communications, hosting, administration and archival workflows. These may include Constant Contact, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google and Wix-related systems.
Where third-party providers process personal data on our behalf, we seek to apply appropriate safeguards and contractual controls.
Shop and Bank Data Processing Policy
For shop and membership payments, ADLS processes order and payment status information required to administer purchases, bookkeeping, fraud checks, refunds and legal compliance.
Bank and payment processing may involve third-party providers. ADLS seeks to minimise stored financial data and retain only what is necessary for operational and statutory obligations.
Contact and Complaints Policy
Questions or complaints about site content, member-facing pages, legal notices, privacy or copyright should be sent to info@adls.org.uk or raised via the relevant form where available.
A full staged complaints process is set out in the Complaints Policy page.
ADLS may request supporting evidence and identity details when handling legal, privacy, copyright or consumer complaints.
User Content Moderation and Enforcement Policy
ADLS may moderate, edit, limit visibility of, or remove user-generated submissions where content is unlawful, inaccurate, defamatory, non-compliant, or presents legal/reputational risk.
ADLS may suspend publication access for users who repeatedly submit non-compliant material.
